The Baird's 70th Birthday!

Grammy and Grampy's birthdays are 4 days apart and they are the same age. When they turned 65, we did a big surprise party for them. So we decided to do something a little more low key and intimate for their 70th. We told them to mark the Saturday on their calendar and there would be more details to come.

On Saturday morning, Mikey and I put together a fun Surprise message to tell them what we were doing that evening and when to be ready. We got a big box and put some golf balls and golf tees in it. We also got two helium balloons that would come out when they opened it, a nice bottle of champagne, some flowers and a card. The card told them to be ready by 4pm. A car service would pick them up and take them to play Top Golf, so dress comfortable.

We wrapped it all pretty and then had to figure out how to get it to them. We came up with this whole plan about where to park and how to set it on their door step and then where to hide afterwards. We felt like little school kids doing something we weren't supposed to be doing, but we totally pulled it off!

We scheduled a black SUV to pick them up in style. We all met at Top Golf and had a great time. Katie and Trey picked up some balloons and a cake. We ate, drank and played for 3 hours and then we called the car service to bring them home!! Such a fun night!

Happy 70th Birthday Connie/Mom/Grammy & Mike/Dad/Grampy!!
