Bentley is on the Academy side of the school now, so he has a party and a performance! The teacher started the party by reading them a book about Baby Jesus.
One of the Mom's brought the cutest little cupcakes.
They lit a candle and sang Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus.
The first thing Bentley did was take Baby Jesus off of the cupcake and ate him. Then he said "I ate Baby Jesus". A little weird...
After their snack, they played pin the Baby Jesus on the Manger while blindfolded.
Bentley waited patiently for his turn but then didn't want the blind fold on, so he closed his eyes.
Heading into the chapel for his performance.
He looked pretty serious at first. Once they started singing, he got a little less serious. He sang along, but didn't do any of the hand motions...
Kiley usually has a separate Life Skills party around lunch time, but this year they decided not to do a separate party and to just join their Gen Ed class for their party. I was so bummed because it was the same time as Presley's party. Since I am Room Mom for Presley's class, I plan and facilitate all of the class parties. As I was getting Kiley dressed that morning I mentioned the party and she said "Mommy Come". I was instantly crushed and full of Mommy guilt. There was nothing I could do about the party, but I rearranged our day and Bentley and I went to eat lunch with Kiley before Presley's party. It was the best I could do.
Unfortunately, I don't have as many pictures of Presley's party since I was "in charge". The party was fun! We made a snack mix and juice for a snack and then they did an antler craft and played Bingo.
In addition to planning the party, I also coordinated a class gift basket for Presley's teacher. It had all of her favorite things in it along with several gift cards. One of the Mom's put the basket together and it turned out super cute!
Presley gave Mrs. Fox a big hug and said goodbye before leaving for Christmas Break!
