Presley's 1st Day of School

Presley's started her second year of preschool this morning! She and Mommy were so excited! She is going to the same school she went to last year, but she has a new classroom, a new teacher and new friends!

Posing with her backpack and her nap mat....She did great when I dropped her off!

She is quite the engineer. She made this choo choo train the other day.

Marmee and Guy spent Labor Day weekend with us and Guy took the girls swimming in the rain!

Guy also bought the girls donuts one morning. He bought plain donuts and there were some left so I let Presley have one for breakfast one morning and when I came to check on her, I saw this. I am still not sure who taught her this....noone has confessed yet...Marmee? Guy? Mycah?

Just a quick update on Kiley, she is doing great in her new class and still loves school just as much as ever!

Another "Princess" Party

Katie is getting married in just a few weeks, so Mom and I wanted to throw her a little "girls day" to celebrate before the wedding. We met for brunch at a hotel and had a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, we threw her a cleaning supplies shower. We made this fun towel cake to go with the theme.

We also wrote her a letter with a bunch of cleaning supplies mentioned in the letter and bought her all of the supplies. It was a very fun little game.

Pretty Sunflowers!

The bride-to-be's table setting. We had little budnt-tinies for dessert. They were delicious!

After the shower, we spent the day at the pool and all took turns going to the spa!

It was a very special day and we hope "Princess Kate" enjoyed it! We can't wait for the big day!

A Princess Party!

Our dear friend, Summer, turned 3 and she invited us to her princess party. Cinderella came to visit!

Presley with her friend's Caris, Felicty and Caitlyn.

Presley got to get her face painted by Cinderella.

Yes, Presley has a marshmallow in one hand and a cupcake in the other....

Bentley was a little outnumbered by all of the princesses, but he spent most of the party napping, so that was ok and helped Mommy out! Thanks B! Happy Birthday Summer. Thanks for a wonderful party!

Siblings!

Bentley is 7 Months Old!

Each month, it is getting harder and harder to get Bentley to sit still, especially with the monkey next to him.

This 7 month old little boy is on the move! I am trying to savor every second of him and he is developing way too fast! On the other hand, I am very thankful and very proud of him. He is growing each day. We recently changed his schedule where he is nursing 4 times a day and is down to 2 naps. He is also eating two solid meals each day. He loves his oatmeal and rice cereal in the evenings and in the mornings he gets a fruit or veggie. So far he has tried sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, avocado, peaches, pears, and apples. He had a reaction to avocado twice, so we are leaving that out for now. I bought Mum Mums for him to try a couple of weeks ago and he wasn't very interested. Then, last week, we caught him in the dog dish with food in his mouth, so apparently, he was ready to pick up food and put it in his mouth. He is now eating the Mum Mums and I just bought some puffs for him to try! He is still sleeping about 12 hours at night. He is now in 6-9 month clothes and is still in size 3 diapers. He is starting to make sounds. We have heard mamamamama (mostly when crying), and bababababa.

A couple of weeks ago, I came into his room and realized it was time to lower his crib.

He likes to play with (or chew on) his sister's babies.

I took this picture of him the day he turned 7 months. (Yes, you caught me! I don't take his onesie pictures on the 5th of every month. I kind of have a lot going on :-). )

Now that he is crawling all over the house, he is doing a lot of exploring. He discovered the mirror and Presley wanted to pose in the picture too.

The crib is lowered....And as of last week, he is officially pulling up to a stand! I came in to see this one morning. I guess it is time to lower the crib again!!

He is becomming quite the helper in the kitchen.

As I say in each update, he is still the best baby. He is so laid back and just goes with the flow. He is always happy and never cries unless he is hungry, tired or dirty. He is the sweetest little boy. I can't get enough of his smiles and kisses and he loves Mommy's kisses. He is constantly on the go now. He doesn't like to be confined and he is really enjoying exploring the house. I am scared to think what he will be doing by 8 months! Here are a couple more of my attempts to get a picture of him...

I took the monkey away and was able to get one quick picture of him sitting up.

Gymnastics Birthday Party!

The day after we came back from Missouri, we had a gymnastics birthday party to go to. We were celebrating the girls' very dear friend, Caitlin's 3rd birthday!

Mommy took the girls to the party.

And the boys stayed home.

The girls were so exhausted from our trip that they both fell asleep on the way to the party.

After their power nap, they had a great time playing at the gym and an even better time enjoying snacks, ice cream and cake!

This is a cute picture of the girls before bed one night.

Presley put Bentley's shorts on one day....

Kiley's 1st Day of School!

Kiley's 1st day of Pre K!

Her bus comes at 7am, so we were up bright and early!

She is showing me her new shoes!

Big girl coming down the stairs!

Posing with her back pack.

Looking out the window to see if her bus is here!

Sitting outside waiting for the bus. Presley joined in on the fun too!

Getting on the bus!

Presley had just gotten out of bed when we were going outside and she didn't have any clothes on, so she covered up with her Lovey....

Kiley has a new teacher and new classmates this year. She did great her first week. We hope for a wonderful school year to prepare her for Kindergarten next year!!

Lake of the Ozarks 2013

We woke up early Saturday morning and got on the road by 530am. I packed toys for all 3 kids in hopes of keeping them busy for the 8 hour trip. Presley kept busy with some stickers.

We recently switched the car seats around because Bentley is too heavy to put in the middle. This switch was a mistake for an 8 hour road trip. The girls fought and screamed the whole trip!

Bentley picked our trip to really get mobile! He was all over the place. Our future golfer!

Poor Presley got a stomach bug the 2nd day we were there. The next day, we needed to get the kids out of the house and Pres was still exhausted from the day before....

We drove over the dam.

It was a lot hotter this year, so Mikey took the girls in the lake (which is a lot cooler than our swimming pool at home). Presley, who is our little fish, was the first one in...

And the first one out.....

We made her stay in for a quick picture, but you can tell she isn't happy. She did not like the cold water. It didn't phase Kiley one bit!

Presley and Bentley played up on the deck while Daddie took Kiley out on the jet ski.

The girls helped Daddie with the cooler to take on our boat ride.

Presley in her cool shades that Uncle Bob let her wear.

The boys....YES,BOYS! And Yes, B is wearing a pink life jacket....he has two older sisters.....

Mommy with Kiley and Bentley. Bentley was such a tropper in his life jacket. He is smaller than the girls were during their first summer....

Our captain, Uncle Bob.

Happy Hour on the dock!

Bentley's dinner time.

Daddie took the girls to get new shoes one day. Isn't that a great smile....

We spent Friday with our friend, Nikki and her parents. She took some pictures and made some fun collages out of them.

Presley driving the big boat!

Kiley driving the big boat!

Mommy and Bentley. He is becomming quite the poser for pictures!

Mikey and Aunt Kathy

We had such a wonderful trip and we enjoyed our quality time with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Bob. We enjoyed being on the lake, but most of all we enjoyed all of the fun talks, laughs and tears shared over the week. We love you guys so much and we can't wait to come back next year!

Before we left, we took a few pictures of the 5 of us in our tye die shirts that Daddie bought us while souvineer shopping. A family that tye dies together, stays together....
