Marmee & Guy's House!

A few weeks ago, Mikey and Kiley both had strep throat, so I took Presley and Bentley down to Marmee and Guy's house for the weekend. Luckily the 3 of us steered clear of the germs and Presley had some fun at Marmee and Guy's!

She wore Marmee's glasses!

She learned to take a "selfie".

She and Marmee made playdough!

She loved seeing how many cookie cutters she could fit! Including the rolling pins!

After we came home, she needed to call Marmee while she was having her salad for dinner.

I think it was a nice weekend for all of us. It was a little less chaotic with the kids split up. Kiley got some great one on one time with Daddie and Marmee and Guy got to enjoy Presley and Bentley. We were glad to all be back together, but we are learning the dynamics of having 3 kids and it is amazing how easy it is when they are split up!

Since this post ended up being all about Presley, I thought I would share a milestone that she has recently hit. She is now dressing herself. When I get her clothes out in the morning, she is pretty good about putting them on herself while I am dressing Bentley, but recently, she has started going up in her closet and picking out her own clothes and shoes for the day. Please note that it was 30 degrees out when she picked this outfit out, so we will have to work on picking out clothes according to the weather. I thought it was so cute, even though it means double the laundry for me!

Bentley is 10 Months Old!

Bentley is 10 months old and a growing boy. I am learning each day how much food it takes to support a growing boy. He eats and eats and eats and eats. I am pretty sure he eats more at a meal than any of us. He is still on the same schedule and in size 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers. He eats 3 meals a day in addition to 4 nursings and snacks in between.

He is such a sweet boy and so easy going. He hardly fusses and is always happy. We could not be luckier!

He keeps us on our toes and is always on the go. If we let him, he can climb all the way up the stairs. I forgot to close the gate one day and I looked over and he was on his way up. Luckily he found something to distract himself before he got too far!

He got this big teddy bear for his baptism and he absolutely loves it. He loves cuddling with stuffed animals and this one is so much fun because it is literally bigger than he is.

He climbs all over it.

He is such a good boy and always helping with the dishes. Actually, he thinks it is a playground to climb on!

We cannot say enough about how great of a baby Bentley is! As for milestones, he is still crawling. He does a lot of pulling up and cruising, but when we try to get him to walk, he gets back down on all fours and starts crawling. He knows he can get there way faster when crawling. Especially when he is going for something he wants or isn't supposed to have, he is FAST! If you take your eyes off of him for a couple of seconds you look over and he is in another room exploring. He is also starting to talk more. He has the sweetest little voice. We are hearing mamamama, dadadada, and some other sounds. He doesn't talk a lot, but when he does, he gets your attention and you are interested in what he is saying. I feel like that is how he will be when he gets older. Growing up with two sisters, it is hard to get a word in! When you stand him up, he loves to bounce and jump up and down. He is getting those legs ready for walking! Knowing him, he will skip the walking and take off running. He is so busy! Trying to take these monthly photos is always a challenge. Between getting him to sit still and keeping him from attacking the monkey, it is pretty much impossible!

I can't believe he will be a year old in just two short months. I hope they go by very slowly. He is such a sweet boy and I want him to stay this way forever! He is a lot older than the girls were during their first Christmas, so it should be fun. He will love opening the presents and playing in all of the paper!!

Thanksgiving 2013

The week before Thanksgiving, we had a very warm day. It was in the 80's, so we heated up the hot tub and let the kids swim!

Then, the week of Thanksgiving, we had a cold spell. Daddie and the kids were all in their warm PJs by the fire!

The Friday before Kiley got out of school, I got to go have a Thanksgiving Feast with her class!

She was so happy to see me. The mashed potatoes were her favorite part!

We were so excited to host everyone for Thanksgiving this year. Molly came straight from UT and got in on Tuesday. She was our first guest. We got in the hot tub and hung out by the fire outside!

Everyone mingling in the kitchen getting ready for a delicious dinner! We had 16 adults and 3 kids!

The turkey set in just in time for the cowboy game!

Bentley's Baptism

Bentley was baptized a couple of weekends ago!

Both of the girl's baptisms were a separate ceremony after Mass, but our new church does it during Mass. We walked in with the Priest and Deacon.

His actual baptism was in the middle of Mass.

Bentley didn't cry when the water was poured over him. He actually liked it and arched his back and almost dove in the water. That got a lot of laughs out of the congregation.

Grammy helped dry him off.

Still looking at the water.

Father Michael blessing him.

Grampy lit the candle.

He had so much to look at and was such a good boy!

Father Michael carried him to the front of the altar and presented him to the congregation as the "newest member of the church", and everyone cheered and clapped.

After the baptism, we had some people over to celebrate with us. We made chicken tortilla soup and a taco soup. We also had some chips and dips and beer and wine of course. These were the yummy desserts!

I printed a bunch of pictures of Bentley and hung them as decoration.

I finally took them down the day before Thanksgiving!

He had his eye on the presents!

Being silly with Daddie! He got to stay up past his bedtime since it was his party!!

Bentley's Baptism was such a special day. It was so neat to have him baptised during Mass. The entire Mass was centered around him. He received so many prayers and it was so neat having the music too! Then coming home to loving friends and family to celebrate with us was so special. A special day for a very special little boy!!

So I had to post this picture. While Mikey was getting ready for the party that morning, he decided to "dress" the girls. They thought it was the funniest thing.
