Before school started some of the soon-to-be second graders got together at our neighborhood pool to reconnect. There was a new Mom there with her two girls. Their neighborhood had gotten rezoned to our school and it just so happened that she used to teach at Pink so she was excited for her girls to go. As I was introducing our kids to her, I mentioned that Kiley was in the special ed program at a different elementary. We hit it off right away. In addition to her two girls, Kinsey (2nd) and Hadley (1st), she has a 4 year old daughter, Finley who has special needs and a 2 year old son, Beckett that were both home with her husband.
Fast forward to Meet the Teacher and Kinsey and Presley were put in the same class! They immediately hit it off. How special for Presley to have a friend who is a sibling of someone with special needs?? Their budding friendship has been so fun to watch. They are so much alike and even look alike!
Erin and I have really bonded as well. As I have said before, we have a ton of support from our friends and family but no one can understand the life we live unless they live it as well. And boy, Chris and Erin also have their struggles.
We put the kids in an Art camp together. It has been so fun because Kiley can't go to any camps with her siblings because she isn't potty trained. The kids have loved going together, especially with the Browns. One night we decided to do dinner after camp and boy was it memorable. Our chaos + their chaos = one big $%^* show, but it was a blast. Oh and they all look like they could be siblings.

Classy right? We are so thankful that we found The Browns and we look forward to many more memories of friendship and pure chaos!
