Mexico!!!

I left one thing out of the month of October and it was the most important!! Mikey and I took a trip just the two of us to Riviera Maya, Mexico to have some kid free time and celebrate his birthday!! It rained the entire time we were there, so we spent every day at the spa and it was amazing!! In 4 days, we each had 4 massages and a facial. We went for quiet and relaxation and that is what we got, minus a sunburn.

Once we got to the resort, we checked in and went to dinner and right to a show! The next morning, we checked out our room. We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel. It was so cool inside. The rooms were very modern and we had our own private terrace with a Jacuzzi tub!

We went to the Hibachi place for dinner and it was delicious!

After dinner we went to another show. Mikey got called up on stage for some game so he took a selfie with the guys in the show.

I went up to the stage to get his phone so I could take pictures of him and they dragged me up on stage too. I, Lacey Anne Baird, sang on stage in front of people. My biggest fear come true! I am a horrible singer and I do not like to be the center of attention. Since we were both on stage, there were no pictures taken. Thank goodness.

We obviously don't have any pictures of our spa treatments but I just wanted to share what we did on a daily basis. Each day, an hour before our treatment, we would check into the spa and do their hydro therapy treatment. They had a hot room, a cold room and then a steam room. And three different hot tubs at different temperatures. This was supposed to relax us before the real relaxing stuff began. We loved it and it never got old!

One day after our spa treatments, we went for a walk. Since it was rainy, we sat at a covered bar out by the ocean and watched the angry sea.

We also walked around the resort and looked at all of the memorabilia and decor.

Our last night, we went back to the hibachi restaurant for Mikey's "Birthday Dinner".

Happy 35th Birthday honey! Thanks for sharing it with me. I loved the time we spent together just the two of us. A rainy week in Mexico is definitely memorable and we made it fun!! Love you lots!
