The US is building 4 Kidzania's and the one near us was the first one! We had a unique opportunity to test it out before it opened. It is basically a mini city for kids. They check in at the airport and walk through security (like an airport) to get to the city. You also get a debit card. The kids have to do jobs to earn money to spend on the fun things like a ropes course, manicures, wall climbing and toys. The kids spend about 20 minutes at each "occupation" and then they get money added to their debit card. It was really neat.
We started at the hospital. Bentley went to work in the OR and the girls went to the NICU.
Then the girls went to the OR. They also got to go on a ride around town in the ambulance.
Mikey took Bentley to the fire station. They rode on the fire truck to the fire.
Bentley got to be a rock star!
Presley and Bentley both did the ropes course. It was so high!
Kiley and her friend, Finley, loved the toddler area!
Bentley got to scale a building.
Bentley got to do graphic design. He made his very own movie. It was really cool and his favorite!
Bentley also got to be a Veterinarian.
Then the kids hit the gym.
Presley earned some money washing windows.
And delivered packages to all of the different businesses.
Kiley and Finley ran all over the streets together. It was so cute.
At the end of their day, the kids go to the bank to withdraw the rest of their money to buy prizes at the store. Then you leave through "Customs". Not only did we leave absolutely exhausted, we left with some mixed reviews.
As an adult, we have to pay to get in but don't get to participate in the activities. We aren't even able to go in the places with the kids. Mikey said it was like going to Six Flags and not able to ride the rides. The kids tickets are expensive, but the concept in really neat. They had a blast!
