Next we drove 9 hours and 4 minutes (594.1 miles) to Upstate New York. We try to go up at least every other year to visit. Since we knew Nonie and Grandma weren't coming down for Mycah's wedding we wanted to see them even if only for a few days. We went to Nonie and Al's on the golf course.
The kids love the hammock.
Just your normal morning workout.
We went to visit Uncle John and Aunt Kathy at the lake. The kids got to play with their other cousin Maci.
On Friday night, Preston and Mikey took Bentley to the races. I grew up going and we knew Bentley would love it! Preston has a friend that races, so they got to go back into Pit Row and meet all of the drivers and see all of the cars.
On Saturday morning, we went over to Hannah and Preston's for breakfast. After breakfast, Preston took Bentley and Presley out on the Excavator and the Bulldozer.
After the tractor extravaganza, the guys all went to a fundraiser event that Uncle Paul was hosting. They had a great turnout.
Aunt Karen and Uncle Paul bought some land to build a house on. Mikey and Dad thought they could walk up the stream to it...
They ended up driving...
The view is breathtaking!
While the boys were at the fundraiser, we took the kids to the lake. I used to swim at this park when I was little. This lake is warmer than Uncle John and Aunt Kathy's.
Aunt Pat came to play too!
Then Uncle Scott, Aunt Deb and Cousin Sarah came! Since we were only there for 4 full days, we tried to maximize our time with everyone!
For those of you that know me well, know that I do not like sweets. Especially ice cream. Well there is one exception to this and it is Mac's frozen soft serve. I grew up eating it and I still get the swirl. Yum!!
Tayden loved it!
As if Bentley hadn't spent enough time in Boy Heaven, Uncle Paul took him on his tractor.
And then a Bonfire...
Followed by one of our nightly jam sessions.
On our last full day, Aunt Pat had everyone over for lunch!
My cousin Heather came with her twins! She came to stay with us for a few weeks when Bentley was born and now 4 years later, she has 3 of her own!
Nonie and her Greats...
Presley loved having 2 babies!!
The kids played some croquet.
That concludes our short but sweet stay in New York. Lakes, Boat, Race Cars, Excavator, Bulldozer, Ice Cream, Tractor and Bonfire....it doesn't get much better than that. Throw in Family Time and we made some great memories. We look forward to seeing everyone at Mycah's Wedding!
