Bentley's Soccer

Bentley started playing REAL soccer with REAL games this Fall. Once we registered him, we kept getting emails that they were short Head Coaches for his age group, so Mikey finally gave in and volunteered. The good thing about Mikey being Head Coach is that he gets to pick when and where practice is held, so it is in our neighborhood each week! Daddie and Bentley ready for their first practice!

Luckily we had two other Dad's volunteer to be Assistant Coaches.

With eight 3 year old boys running around, Mikey needs all the help he can get.

The first few practices were a bit chaotic, but we were ready for the first game.

Our first game got rained out, so Mikey was out of town for his actual first game. Coach Jason stepped in.

We had no idea what to expect, but Bentley did awesome! He scored the first goal of the season and 2 more goals! Grampy said he did exactly what Mikey did in his first game ever. He scored the very first goal and it went right between the defenders legs. Like Father, Like Son. Bentley got the game ball!

So far, Bentley has scored at least one goal in every game! They had pictures before one game and Mikey took pictures of how well Bentley listened and did what he was supposed to.

All of the boys have gotten better and better each week. We are so excited that the team is going to stay together in the Spring. That is a huge compliment to Coach Mike and the other coaches! Bentley absolutely loves playing in each game. If it were up to him, he would play the entire game each time. He tells me that sitting out is boring. We are working on sitting out and cheering for his team. After Bentley finishes the Fall Season, he is going to play indoor in the Winter.
