Bentley is 18 Months Old!

Our sweet baby boy is 18 months old. He is getting to be such a big handsome boy! He develops more of a personality each day and has definitely hit the toddler phase with his "No's!" and temper tantrums. He has bit Kiley a couple of times and he is starting to scratch in defense too. I am hoping he is like Presley and only bites siblings and doesn't take the bad habit anywhere else. Despite being a toddler he is still my sweet handsome little man.

He recently had his checkup and he weighs 25.8 pounds(73%), he is 33 inches tall (72%), and his head is 19.25 inches round (87%). I was a bad mom and did not take a single picture at his checkup. In my defense, I actually did a lot of talking with the doctor and she came to the conclusion that Bentley does have Asthma. She actually can't diagnose him with it until he is 2 so she called it a Reactive Airway. A week before his checkup, he woke up in the middle of the night and literally could not breath. We rushed him to the ER and after a steroid and 4 breathing treatments, they reluctantly sent us home with a diagnosis of Asthmatic Bronchitis. He had no other symptoms at the time except that the virus completely attacked his lungs. We had to go back to the ER again that night for another breathing treatment. After telling the Dr. all of this, she diagnosed him. We aren't sure of the severity just yet. As of now, we have a nebulizer (breathing machine) and we have two different meds for it. We have a steroid that we give him at the first sign of a cold or virus and then we have albuterol to treat the wheezing. He also has an inhaler. This was not good news, but we were at least glad to be given some treatments in hopes of preventing more ER visits. Now we can only pray that it does not get worse or that he could even grow out of it. He does not like the breathing treatments at all. I took this picture on the last one in the ER. He was so tired, he couldn't fight it anymore.

On another note, developmentally, he is doing great! He is in size 18-24 month clothes and size 5 shoe. He is quickly growing out of size 4 diapers. He wakes up in the morning with wet PJs. I will be ordering size 5 next time around. He eats 3 meals a day and a couple of snacks. He has started to get a little pickty, but not extreme yet. He drinks milk with all 3 meals and water throughout the day. He has started eating with a spoon or fork and thinks he is a very big boy. He sleeps a little over 12 hours each night. He goes down around 7-730pm and wakes up around 8am. Up until his appointment, he was still taking two naps a day, but we have dropped the morning nap the last couple of weeks. He still sleeps with LaLa and usually wants to carry it around all day with him if I let him. He loves his LaLa. He is walking, climbing, running, throwing, kicking and scribbling. We are working on pointing and saying body parts and are starting animal sounds. He has the sweetest little voice and has a ton of words. He pretty much repeats anything we say. When he whines, we are working on "using our words". Luckily he only got one shot this time around. We gave him a sucker before and he didn't even cry!

He is getting a little mischevious. He recently started taking things from the girls and running away as fast as he can. Here are a few other pictures of what he has been up to lately.

He climbed up on the kitchen 3 different times in a matter of a few minutes. I kept taking stuff away that was helping him climb up but he still found a way.

He climbed up in this box and couldn't figure out how to get down. Kiley was trying to tell him he shouldn't be up there but he just wouldn't listen.
