Mikey's birthday celebration was a bit drawn out this year. His actual birthday was last Saturday and we were out of town for an engagement party. It actually turned out to be a fun celebration because Mom and Dad kept the girls and we had a whole day to ourselves. We got into town early, so we went and had lunch and then went bowling. It was a very small town, so we had the whole bowling alley to ourselves. Our ball got stuck and Mikey got to go behind the pins and learn how everything works. He thought that was pretty neat. Here is an action shot of him bowling a strike!
We went back to the hotel to get ready and then a limo picked us up to go to the party!
Mikey sure got special treatment on his birthday and so did I!
The engagement party was for our friends, Joe & Cynthia, who Mikey actually set up and now they are getting married. They had a picture of our family on their welcome table. We felt very special!
Joe & Cynthia got Mikey a bottle of his favorite liquor for his birthday to thank him for celebrating with them....and introducing them!! They are getting married in Antigua in January, which we were booked to attend the wedding until God surprised us with little Bentley Michael. We are so bummed to miss the wedding.
We took a break from celebrating and then we picked back up last Friday. The girls and I made this fun card for Daddie!
When Mikey got home from work, his parents came over to watch the girls. Our neighbors, Andy & Amy, and the two of us all went to dinner. After dinner, we had planned to go bowling. What Mikey didn't know was that I had about 20 friends at the bowling alley waiting to surprise him. He was so surprised and we had a great time. Luckily we had practiced the weekend before! Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures. I am trying to get my hands on some. We had a great time!
Then, on Sunday, Mikey's Mom cooked a delicious meal. We all filled our bellies with delicious food and then watched the Cowboy Game!
Mikey had a great birthday! He got an A&M flag for the house and one of their new jerseys. He also got some new work shoes, some ties, a couple bottles of liquor and some gift certificates!
We were so proud of the girls for actually looking at the camera and smiling in these pictures! Yesterday, we also celebrated Kiley walking for a year!!
Happy Birthday Daddie. Next is Kiley's big day!
