Texas Weather

On Saturday, it was about 80 degrees, so we decided to take advantage and have a family picnic. Mikey went to get Freebirds for lunch and brought it back. Freebirds is the perfect picnic food. We set up a blanket and Kiley's little Baby Einstein Gym. Kiley was such a good girl the whole time and she even fell asleep. We covered her gym with a blanket to block out the sun. It was such a beautiful day and felt so good to get out. In the last couple of weeks, we have had a few days with the weather in the 70s and we have taken Kiley out for a jog in her running stroller. She has done really well and it is a start to get Mommy back into shape. Less than 2 months until I have to be in a bathing suit for our Hawaii trip! I need to start those New Year's Resolutions!

So, most people have heard the saying that if you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait 10 minutes. Well here is a perfect example. After our picnic on Saturday, the temperature dropped 40 degrees on Sunday and here is a picture of icicles on our back porch on Monday.
