Easter 2016!

We had some fun Easter Celebrations this year! Our first one was at Presley's school. She had an Easter Egg Hunt, Party and Performance. Bentley's Egg Hunt and Party were on another day so he was dressed for St. Patrick's Day.

At Presley's Egg Hunt, the eggs were numbered 1-12 and they had to find one with each number.

I hosted her Resurrection Party with two other Moms. We had a coloring page and a craft/snack. The kids built Jesus' Tomb out of food and then got to eat it along with some other fun snacks!

After her party, she had her performance and she did great! We had a takeaway quote that we used for all of Easter. "Easter isn't just about bunnies, baskets and bows. It's about our Lord Jesus and on the day He Rose."

Next we had our Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. They went all out this year! They did Egg Hunts for each age group. There was also a snow cone truck, a DJ, face painting, a puppet show, petting zoo, fire truck and ambulance, pictures with the Easter Bunny and door prizes! We won free car washes for a month!

On the Saturday before Easter, we went to the annual Especially needed Easter Egg Hunt! We packed up for Marmee and Guy's house so that we could leave from the Hunt.

And so was the Easter Bunny!

They were trying to break a Guiness Book World Record of the most special needs kids at a single Egg Hunt. They were scheduled by age group and we showed up a little early so most of the eggs were gone from the previous egg hunt. They had some eggs blocked off for some reason and Mikey let the kids go in and get some eggs. I was so embarrassed but they were happy!

When we got to Marmee and Guy's house, Daddie and Bentley went to scope out the blue bonnets!

We found a couple of pretty places.

Presley helped Marmee make an Easter Bunny Cake!

And all of the kids helped Guy mow.

Aunt Mycah, Aunt Katie, and Uncle Trey all came for Easter Dinner. We colored Easter Eggs while Marmee cooked.

Marmee made a delicious Easter Dinner and the Easter Bunny came!!

The kids had one last Egg Hunt at Marmee and Guy's on Easter morning.

After brunch we loaded up and headed home. We put the kids down for a nap and then went to 5pm Mass to celebrate the true meaning of Easter.
