Despite the warning of bringing germs, Marmee wanted us to all be together, so we headed to their house for Christmas Brunch. We had Guy's famous taquitos. Marmee's rule is that we all have to eat before we open presents. Presley didn't quite agree with it and thought she could talk Marmee out of it, but Marmee won. The wait was well worth it. Marmee and Guy spoiled us all! First of all, you will notice that we all have matching Jammies. Marmee sent them to us to open on Christmas Eve so that we could all wear them! She even bought some for Buddy!
Let the present opening begin!
The Aftermath!!
Mycah got a new dresser and Presley quickly put it to good use. Notice the baby...please don't report her to CPS.
Marmee and Guy got the kids some clothes and the girls got a duvet cover for their beds. Bentley stocked up on clothes which were much needed. They threw in some fun toys that the kids played with and Marmee gave the girls her old doll clothes that Nonie made. They are precious. They got Mikey and I a new bench for our front yard and all new bedding. We love it!!
We gave them their annual kids calendar and all of our family and school pictures to frame. We also got them their winter supply of firewood!!
Marmee made a delicious Christmas Dinner. We spent the rest of Christmas Day and Friday lounging and trying to stay or get healthy. The guys went golfing on Friday. My sweet boy still recovering from being sick.
And so was Kiley.
Bentley feeling better and ready to go outside.
Presley could not understand the concept of laying around in Jammies all day. That was not cute and she needed to get dressed. She wanted to wear every new outfit that she opened. This was the winner and it went perfect with her new heels from Santa. She helped Marmee bake Christmas Cookies and decorate them. She also helped Guy make Pizza crust one night. They both involved flour. Not sure which one she is making in these pictures.
As I said in my earlier post, Marmee woke up sick on Saturday morning so we cut our visit short and went home so that she could get some rest. We were so sad to leave early.
