My 3rd and final excuse for being so behind on my blog are the events we have been attending!
Mikey and I had a date night at the Ranger Game one evening.
It turned out to be a pretty eventful game. They hit some home runs!
Someone ran out on the field and was arrested.
And they scored and won in the final inning of the game. If you didn't notice, we seemed to have good seats for all of these occasions. As you know, my husband likes to keep things interesting. We changed seats three times throughout the game and it really maximized our experience. Thanks for a great date night honey!
Every year, my Mom heads up a big charity event for her company. It is called Chefs Showcase and all of the big local chefs come out and setup stations with samples of their specialty dishes. It is so delicious. I spent extra time at the gym that morning to accomodate my splurging!!
The event raises money for a charity called Camp John Marc. We were so excited that Mom invited us back. We had a blast!!
Mikey's company put on their first annual company picnic. It was a field day setup and all of us had so much fun!
Bentley playing with some bubbles.
Mikey played bubble soccer and scored 3 goals!
Watching the kickball games with friends!
They had face painting and balloons for the kids and we all enjoyed a great hamburger and hot dog dinner.
Fun with more friends!
We all had so much fun at the field day. It was so much fun to see everyone and their families. We were all hot and tired, so we came home, went for a swim, showered and went to bed. We can't wait until next year!
My last excuse involves a recent teacher appreciation week. As I have blogged in the past, I make gifts for Kiley's 2 teachers for all 5 days of the week and Presley's 2 teachers for 2 days a week. This year, I took on coordinating Teacher Appreciation Week for Kiley's entire school which is a celebration for all 110 teachers and staff. On Sunday, I took sidewalk chalk up and put it outside all of the entrances to Kiley's school for all of the kids and parents to decorate!
We asked parents to donate snacks and drinks for the week, and we hosted a snack bar in the teacher's lounge, so I went up to the school to restock it every day.
On Wednesday, I coordinated a luncheon for all 110 people. I had a big grilled chicken salad with homemade bread catered and everyone loved it! The girls helped me wrap 125 sets of plasticware!
I arranged for two chair massage therapists to be up at the school on Thursday to give massages throughout the day. This was definitely the favorite thing all week!!
Finally on Friday, I bought these reusable grocery bags for everyone, so of course they needed to be wrapped!
This was a big thing to take on, especially when I have 3 liitle ones at home. I really wanted to do it for all of the teachers and staff who have been so great to Kiley. Mikey took this picture of me and the girls after my last PTA meeting. Kiley will be going to a new school next year, so I really wanted to do something great for the school and go out with a bang!
Well, that concludes my list of excuses. Thank you for being patient with me. Hopefully I haven't lost all of my followers!
