Over the last few months, she has begun talking up a storm. Her first word was "NO" (which is still one of her favorites) and then she added to her vocabulary pretty quickly. She says Mommy, Daddie, Kiley, Buddy, Boo, Baby, Out, Waffle, Banana, Buh Bye, Night Night, Hi, Hey, Bite, bubble and so many more that I have lost track of. Also, at 17 months, she started singing. Her favorite song to sing is Rock a bye baby...so adorable.
She loves to climb on the furniture.
And, she loves her accessories!! Purses, necklaces and bracelets!
She even has my dress on in this picture!
She is still very active. When she is awake, she is on the move. She runs all over the place and can go up and down stairs for the most part. She goes to the YMCA with me every morning and is getting better at playing with other kids. Very important social interaction! We also registered her for school two days a week. She starts in September!
Presley loves babies. She picks up the baby and holds the baby over her shoulder and bounces up and down and says..shh, shhh, shhhh. So adorable. She is going to be a great Mommy. She also loves to feed herself with a spoon as well as feed Kiley. She says bite and then feeds Kiley.
She puts on a great "shy act" around new people. She bats her eyes and hides her face in my legs. At home, she never stops talking, which is why this is all an act.
I also get the shy face when I try to take pictures.
Presley loves pushing things around, especially strollers. She also loves helping me around the house. She loves to clean, as in wiping off the table and floor with clorox wipes. She also loves to help me sort laundry and put away dishes from the dishwasher. She is learning the chores early!
Presley eating her waffle at ther 18 month checkup. She weighed 23 pounds (55%) and measured 32.8 inches long (80%). I think these measurements are right. The doctor put kg and cm on the sheet. I know the percentiles are right though.
The doctor was very pleased with Presley's development. She told us to start working on putting two words together and jumping!
Presley is such a good girl and SO full of personality. She is so happy and has the cutest laugh. She loves the fact that she can talk now and actually communicate with us like a big girl. She is so active. She loves playing outside and runs everywhere she goes. She loves climbing up and sliding down on her swing set. When she swings, she says "weeeee". When inside, she likes to play with books, babies and anything she can fill up and push around. She is down to one nap a day and is still sleeping about 12 hours each night. She sleeps with her lovie and her blankie. She has 8 teeth in the front (4 top and 4 bottom), she has 4 molars and is currently getting her pointy teeth in. She and Kiley are slowly but surely starting to play more than they fight. When they do fight, Presley is a biter. When sister takes something away from her, Presley bites. Not fun for me or Kiley! She can put her shoes on (another accessory ;-)) and she is learning how to take her clothes off.
She also loves talking on the phone. She puts the phone up to her ear and says hi and babbles a little bit and then says buh bye.
She is starting to show signs that she is ready to potty train. She can say teetee, poopoo and potty. She is also trying to take her diaper off when she does go poopoo. I am trying to get brave enough to attempt the whole potty training thing. Two in diapers is not cheap!
It has been so amazing to see the changes over the last few months. I am really starting to watch what I do and say, because she is already mocking us so much!
