Kiley's new braces!

Last week, Kiley's foot braces finally came in. They are to help her walking. Her feet lean in which keeps her from balancing so we are hoping the braces do the trick and she will be walking in no time! Her braces were custom made just for her cute little feet.

We got to pick out the design. They have little flowers and butterflies on them with purple straps.

We went down to Baylor to pick them up.

I forgot to pack socks, so the nurse had to make her some fake socks for the fitting.

Putting the second pretty shoe on. Kiley was so good and loved her new pretty braces. The nurse had to make a couple of adjustments and now they fit perfect.

She has to wear shoes over the braces because they are very slippery, so after we left Baylor, we went to the mall to get Kiley some new shoes.

She got her shoe size taken with the braces on and we decided on a size 5. It is about a size bigger than she wears now. We picked out some very pretty shoes that have reinforcements on the toes for her crawling.

After she got her new shoes, we went to lunch with Marmee!

We wanted to make it a special day all about Kiley. We are so excited for her very pretty (and expensive)special shoes because we just know this is the last little bit of help she needs to walk on her own.

We increase the amount of time she wears them by 30 minutes each day to get her used to them. We are now up to 4 hours and she is doing great! She will eventually wear them all day except when she is sleeping. Please keep Kiley in your prayers that she will be walking very soon. She is getting so big and so heavy to be carried!
