When we got in the car, I told him that we had a room for the night. I did not make any other plans. I left it open so we could do whatever we want. We could stay in all night and watch movies, or go to dinner, or both!
We got to the hotel a little after 3pm. They told us our room wasn't ready yet. Of course Mikey took the opportunity to ask for an upgrade and sure enough, that is what we got! We got upgraded to a suite and were able to go straight up to our room!
King size bed and desk area.

Double sinks in the bathroom.

Huge closet and dressing area.

The TV was a little small for such a big room. You know how we love our big TVs.

The sitting area.

When I mentioned earlier that I packed up, I really packed up. I thought of every little detail. I wanted to make it comfortable and special for Mikey. I brought our magazines that we never have time to read and put them by the bed.

I also packed a bunch of snacks and breakfast for in the morning. I made his favorite spinach dip and I also brought our cups from home to drink out of. I brought enough to snack on where if we didn't want to leave the room, we wouldn't have to.

I packed our wedding napkins. We use them each anniversary.

I used our cards for decoration. I also packed an assortment of beverages to give Mikey a variety to choose from.

It worked out great that the A&M basketball game started a little after 3pm. So when we got up to the room, Mikey turned on the game while I unpacked everything. At halftime, we went down to the pool. It was a gorgeous day and so warm by the pool. We came back up to the room and watched the rest of the game.

After the game, we went downstairs to the lobby. Every day, they serve freshly made guacamole and mini margaritas to the guests. The guacamole was delicious. We took our margaritas outside and people-watched while we finished them.
After we were done, we decided to go walk around and find something for dinner. Since there is so much up in Addison, we don't get down to Uptown very much. It was so much fun, kind of like a vacation, except we still run the risk of running into people we know...I think they call it a "staycation". We ended up at the Common Table and it was delicious. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. We sat outside and had an appetizer and a couple of glasses of wine while we waited for our table. We ended up just having dinner out there too! It was so much fun.
After dinner, we went back to the room and watched our wedding video! It is so much fun to relive our special day together each anniversary.
We had such a fun time. It is no secret that I am not the romantic one in the relationship. I was really excited about planning a special anniversary for us this year and I have to say, I really outdid myself =). We enjoyed our time together, but of course couldn't wait to get back home to the girls. This is our only picture of the two of us. We are checking out.

We checked out a little early and stopped to get the girls a couple of summer outfits. Kiley doesn't have any shorts her size, so of course if I get Kiley something, I have to get a matching outfit for Presley! We had an early lunch and then went home to the girls. I love you so much honey. These 4 years have flown by. I can't wait to see you top this celebration next year. You better start planning now =).
