As you saw on my last post, we went down to Houston for Ashley and Thomas' wedding. We didn't bring Kiley so we decided to maximize our weekend away. We got up early Saturday morning and drove down to Galveston to spend the day since the wedding wasn't until 730pm.
When we were driving into Galveston, we noticed the devastation of Hurricane Ike. All of the trees were dead and a lot of the buildings were still boarded up. Galveston didn't get the publicity that New Orleans did with Katrina, but it was really hit bad. They told us it looked great compared to a year ago. It was very sad to see.

From the Seawall, we went across the street to get lunch and ate it on the beach with our champagne.

Mikey swimming in the Gulf.

Me posing and then realizing that my Rolex was in the salt water and I lost my balance.

Ok, how about I stand up.

Oh, isn't he romantic?

So our beach vacation wasn't exactly the Carribean, Hawaii, or Fiji, but we had a lot of fun. We made a memory that I know we will look back in 20 years and still remember. I love you honey and I enjoyed our weekend vacation!
