The Draft Party

We had a great Baird Family Fun Weekend. On Friday night, Mikey, Kiley and I went to Brandon and Sara's to watch The Cowboys. We are so excited that football season is finally here! Even though this was a pre-season game, it was a big deal because it was the first game in the new stadium and it looks amazing. We have tickets to go to the A&M Game there in October and we are super excited for the experience. B&S cooked some amazing fajitas for dinner and we had a great time watching the game with them.

Saturday was the infamous draft party. What is a draft party you ask. Well, Mikey has been part of a Fantasy Football League for the last few years and we have so much fun with it. We look forward to Football Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and sometimes Saturdays each week during football season. Having a Fantasy Team makes it so much fun to watch all of the games each week. As most of you know, Football is a big deal in this house. After all, Kiley was born during Monday Night Football! So anyway, this year we hosted the draft party at our house. Seven of the guys came over with their laptops for the draft. Yes, that is Al Pacino on the TV. Mikey had Any Given Sunday playing during the draft to set the mood. Yes, he thinks of everything.
The girls made all of the food and we hung by the pool with the kids while the boys were glued to their laptops in the livingroom. Kiley is in her bathingsuit and lathered with sunscreen ready for pool time.

On Sunday, we had a great Baird Family Fun Day. After church, we put Kiley down for her Morning Nap. I sat outside and read my magazine and Mikey went to hit golf balls. When Mikey came home we decided to go for a walk. We went over to a cool neighborhood and walked along a trail by a creek. It was a fun adventure. After Kiley's lunch, she went down for her afternoon nap. Mikey and I enjoyed some rest and relaxation by the pool. Once Kiley woke up, we made dinner and then watched a movie. After dinner, Daddie took Kiley out by the hot tub to watch the fountain. I took this adorable picture of them. They are definitely Father/Daughter!! They are so adorable. I love them so much!
