Summer Fun!

We always try to stay busy during the Summer and we definitely succeeded. Our summer was filled with activities, sports and camps. We also went on a fun road trip that I will blog about separately!

Presley and Bentley attended VBS at our church.

Bentley wrote this note to his friend Kinsley and asked her over for a play date.

Presley getting yogurt with one of her besties, Kinsey.

Bentley opened his bank account.

The country club put up signs of all of the past winners of the member/member tournament for this year's tournament.

Preparing for a hail storm. The poor golf cart had to sit out...

Sleepover in the playroom!

Daddie made a fun breakfast!

My Aunt Pat was in town and came to the gym with me!

Our magnolia trees are so pretty when they are in bloom.

We had to replace the tires on the golf cart and Mikey got lights put on underneath. They can be all different colors. We totally needed them.

Mikey and I went to a graduation party for one of my friend's daughters. She is going to A&M. Whoop!

We went to a play date at one of Presley's friends house and she has a sibling that is Bentley's age and was in his kinder class. She is his other friend that is a girl...Kinsley and Charlotte are both the youngest of 4 siblings, so they can hang with the boys.

We celebrated my friend Gretchen's 40th in Ft. Worth!

Bentley played paintball. I think this was actually in Jellystone, but I didn't see these pictures until later.

I hosted a play date...or two...

Bentley went to a birthday party at the lego place.

I took the kids to Ninja Nation and they loved it.

Met some old friends for dinner. Some of us went to high school together but we all became close in college.

Bentley played basketball for the first time.

This picture is from one of his camps.

Working on floating...

Cuddle time with Daddie.

So we were barely a week into the summer and the kids were already fighting and misbehaving. I did some research on disciplining and came up with a method of good and bad sticks. If you behave badly you draw a bad stick, no questions asked...and same with good behavior. It worked so well!

We had a fun play date with the sweet Brown Family. Presley and Kinsey had to wear their matching besties shirts...

Bentley attended a golf camp and he did really well! Mikey caddied for him the last day and then they had awards. Bentley mastered all of the skills!

Needed some rest after a long day of golf.

Presley attended a camp at their old preschool that they go to every summer called Camp Chaos.

Andy's Custard with friends.

Bentley's end of season (Spring) soccer party.

We did another batch of jalapenos and did the big jar for Dad.

Looking at pictures after a day at Camp Chaos.

Another fun camp!

Presley's Godparents came for a visit.

This is Bentley's summer indoor soccer team...Mikey and the other coach, Connor, decided to dress up for the picture...

Mikey played golf and went to the lake with his buddies.

I took on the task of reorganizing my pantry. It is Rae Dunn inspired...

My Aunt Lisa and Uncle Bruce were in town visiting Molly and we talked them into staying the night. We played our new game, Relative Insanity and it was a blast.

Presley in her happy place.

Another week of Camp Chaos.

Relaxing at Grammy & Grampy's!

Pretty summer flower arrangement...

Aunt Nikki got the kids these silly straw glasses. We had a fun visit!

The day before Grammy & Grampy were leaving for New Mexico we were talking. Long story short, they offered to take Kiley with them for two weeks. It was so good for her to get the one on one attention with Grammy and Grampy and it was a much needed break for the 4 of us. We were able to do some fun things and get some good rest.

Grammy wanted to work with Kiley on her potty training. She started when they first got there and it didn't work out. Then I got his text message...

We still have a ways to go, but her sitting on the potty and actually going was a huge breakthrough!!!!

Mikey took the kids to Six Flags!!

Presley and Bentley got to go to work with Marmee for the day! It is an awesome program and Bentley was so excited to go this year.

While Kiley was gone, Mycah and Dustin took the other two for a night so we could have a date night! Bentley found some friends at dinner...they had a fun sleepover and lounged around on Sunday. We stayed home and had Babe's chicken for dinner!

Bentley attended a football camp at The Star.

Play date with our future new neighbors, Jett and Jacie.

Post sports treat!

Sweet note from Bentley...

Another play date with Charlotte.

A visit from Guy...

.

So, in addition to the potty breakthrough, Kiley had another HUGE breakthrough. She learned to swim!!! The stars were definitely aligned. One of her special needs subs has a swim school. She took two weeks of lessons and is a little fish!! No more puddle jumper!!

One day, Presley and I were on our way to the gym and Presley spotted an armadillo just walking down the sidewalk.

Mikey got a new power washer and thought he would try it out on the kids...

Bentley got a haircut and they fixed it in a Mohawk. He was so excited.

Our dear friends, The Rich's, invited us to their house for a pool party. They have a beautiful home and a huge back yard. It is perfect for entertaining and having a chocolate fountain wasn't so bad either!

First basketball season in the books!

Another fun play date with a bunch of kiddos. We try to get together at least once each Summer. The kids are getting so big and we are still adding...

Nothing better than a pillow fort.

Presley joined a girl scout troop and they came and kidnapped her for some bonding time. They had donuts and swam and she learned more about girl scouts. Afterwards, I took a few of the girls to Michael's to get stuff to decorate their writing journals. Presley's turned out pretty cute. Now she has inspiration to write!

We had our end of season soccer (summer league) party at the neighborhood pool.

I guess we had some kind of head injury and it looks like Dr. Daddie fixed him up.

Presley in her happy place again.

Wow, that was a lot. Stay tuned for some more...
