Another Summer Road Trip!

At the beginning of July, we took a road trip to see our friends in Indiana and Missouri. The first leg was 15 hours. It was a LONG day, but the kids did really well. We got in late that night. The kids were excited to see each other the next morning. They had breakfast together each morning.

The Chefs!

Kiley was standing out on the balcony watching the lake. It was so cute. By the time I got my camera, she saw me and then got mad that I was taking her picture.

This year we stayed 5 nights and every day was full of pool and lake fun!

One night we took a sunset cruise over to a restaurant.

On the last night, we went to the Indianapolis Outdoor Symphony. It was amazing. It fills up very quickly, so Lindsay and I went early to get a good spot. We took all of the blankets, chairs and coolers. They delayed opening the doors early because a storm was coming so we ended up waiting in line for over an hour. We ended up getting in and getting a great spot, but we didn't have time to go back home and change. Which is why we are in our bathing suits and cover ups. This also meant that the boys had to get all 5 kids (baby stayed home) changed and ready, snacks packed, and loaded into the car to bring them up to the symphony.

The symphony was amazing! It was so neat to be outdoors and you could bring in your own food and drinks. We couldn't believe how many people there were. It was July 3rd so they had a patriotic theme. The sunset was beautiful and they had an amazing fireworks show at the end.

We had such a blast with Todd and Lindsay and their sweet family!!

The next morning, we got up and drove 7 hours to Lake of the Ozarks to visit Nikki, Neal, Maddie and Les. Since it was the 4th of July, Aunt Nikki had all kinds of festive things for us to wear!

Neal made burgers for dinner.

Aunt Nikki ate outside with the kids.

A special 4th of July treat!

After dinner the kids were ready for some firecrackers and sparklers!

At dark, we sat out on the balcony and watched a bunch of firework shows. Kiley was dancing to the music with her glow sticks.

The next morning, we took the boat over to a really cool place on the lake. There were two big pools. One for kids and one for adults.

We had fun lake time!

Bentley was catching fish with a net off the dock.

The kids got to tube behind the big boat.

As soon as we took off, we realized they were too light to Daddie had to get on with them!

The last night we went and played Putt Putt.

We had so much fun with the Crawford's! We love you so much! Until next time...

We drove the 10 hours home on Saturday. Unfortunately, I cannot find where I wrote down our mileage and drive time. If I find it, I will come back and add it.
