Mom & Dad's 40th Wedding Anniversary!

Mom and Dad took a trip to California Wine Country for their 40th Anniversary. When they got back we wanted to celebrate with them. Especially since I have been around for 37 of those 40 years. And 40 years is a big deal!! We had planned to go out kid free, but Mom and Dad were still tired from traveling, so we stayed in and celebrated. Aunt Katie and Uncle Trey took the kids for us so that we could have a nice adult celebration! Mycah and I went in together and planned the entire evening. We bought 40 roses and put them in an arrangement.

We went shopping and bought nice wine, appetizers and stuff for dinner.

We had different kinds of cheeses, crackers and pepperoni. I even did baked brie.

We set the table in the formal dining room and even ate on China.

Happy Hour!

The guys grilled steak, salmon and asparagus. They put the salmon on a cedar plank. It was delicious. Mikey is the steak master and he didn't disappoint. We also had salad, garlic mushrooms and mashed potatoes. It was a fancy meal but we kept it casual and dressed comfy.

We had a tuxedo cake for dessert and it was delicious.

Trey brought the kids home around 830 so they could spend some time with Marmee and Guy. It was a perfect celebration for the perfect Mom and Dad. We love you guys so much!!
