We loaded up the van and left the house bright and early on Thursday morning!
We drove all day Thursday. Presley and Bentley actually slept a little.
We arrived at the hotel to check in and change and then we headed over to the bride's parents for a shrimp boil. Among all of the chaos of travel, we didn't take any pictures of the actual shrimp boil but it was delicious. They had it in their beautiful backyard and Adam boiled the shrimp himself and all of it was delicious. Presley helped Bentley with his name tag(s).
They live on a bay by the ocean. Mikey took the kids down to the boat dock and took a couple of pictures and apparently Bentley had a bathroom emergency while they were down there....
On Friday, the girls were invited to a Bridal Luncheon so Dad and Mikey took the kids to the beach.
On Friday evening, my Aunt and Uncle hosted the rehearsal dinner! They rented out a warehouse style facility and then hired food trucks with local seafood. They also had New York wine shipped in to bring some New York to Florida. It was so delicious and absolutely perfect!!

On Saturday morning, we all loaded up in the van and went back to the beach. We went to the same beach as the guys took the kids the day before but there was some seaweed so it wasn't as pretty as the day before but we still had fun!
Poor B got stung by a jellyfish so we gave him some cold cans to put on it. He was a trooper.
After the beach, we stopped at Chick Fil A to get a big tray of chicken for lunch. Since we were staying in a hotel, we had to get creative for meals for our big group. We took the food to the pool at the hotel to eat.
Saturday evening was the wedding and it was all so nice. A trolley picked us up from the hotel and took us to the church. Even though it doesn't look like it in this picture, Bentley LOVED the trolley! He refused to get back in the van the next day and asked for the trolley.
While we were waiting for the trolley to take us to the reception we took a few pictures outside of the church.

The reception was at the Pensacola Yacht Club and it was a blast! Shirley Temples!

On Sunday morning, we all met at an air force base to visit the biggest lighthouse in the US.
The kids were too young to go up in it, but everyone else went in while we waited outside.
If you look close you can see the family at the top!
After the lighthouse, we ran into a little problem. We could not find any place to buy beer for the beach on a Sunday. We made our way down to Perdido Key which is basically on the Alabama/Florida border. As soon as we pulled into the beach it started pouring down rain. So we had a little party in the van to wait it out.
Bentley sat and watched the rain.
Finally after the rain was gone and we had beer we ventured out to the beach!
Bentley did some good boogie boarding with Uncle Scott.
After our last day on the beach, we came back to the hotel and ordered dinner to be delivered. Aunt Pat ordered pizza and wings for everyone and we ate in one of the rooms at the hotel.
After dinner, the kids had fun playing in the shelves.
By the way, the kids did amazing in the hotel. With all of the traveling we have done, this was our first stay as a family in a hotel. They stayed up late each night but then napped when they needed to! Presley tired out after a long day!
We had such an amazing weekend celebrating Adam and Diane. They are a wonderful couple and we were so glad to be part of their special weekend. We loved all of the time we spent with family and will cherish all of the memories we made. The kids were pretty tired out on our drive home!
We had one little mishap on the way home. A huge rock hit the windshield and broke it. Darn.
If that is the worst thing that happened, then that's OK. We all made it home safe and sound and had a great trip!
