The weekend before Halloween, we had an adult party and the invitation said to dress in black.
We knew there would be all variations of costumes and outfits, but since we were 3 blondes, we thought it would be fun to wear black wigs!
Amy's husband was out of town, so Mikey had double duty!
I was curious to see what the kids thought of our wigs. The girls thought they were funny, but they didn't phase Bentley one bit. He ran right up to me and wanted me to hold him!
The party was in the neighborhood, so we got to take the golf cart over!
Some of the girls!
The kids got some treats in the mail from Aunt Nikki! So sweet!!
One Saturday, I had a baby shower to go to, so I took Presley with me. While we were at the shower, Grammy and Grampy took Kiley and Bentley to a Halloween Carnival at Kiley's dentist office. If you can't tell, they are Princess Anna and Olaf.
Presley got to wear her costume to dance on the week of Halloween. Of course, she is the Queen. She also got to wear it to gymnastics, but we forgot her costume and had to run back so we were late. Needless to say, I didn't get a picture.
The week of Halloween, Kiley had Red Ribbon Week. The school has themes for dressing up each day. This was a picture of Kiley on western day. She looked so cute!
Presley and Bentley wore their costumes on Thursday to school.
I thought I was doing good, having Bentley wear a costume that was pretty low maintenance, but of course he wouldn't keep his hat on.
On Friday afternoon, we picked Kiley up from school a little early and we headed down to Marmee's work to Trick or Treat at her office. Both girls fell asleep on the way down. I tried to take a picture, but only got Kiley in the picture.
We took some pictures before they started trick or treating and I am so glad we did because I didn't take any that night!
All of Mom's staff had decorated their offices and cubicles in different themes and the kids went around to all of them!
After they were done Trick or Treating, we went into the breakroom for a cake walk. There were snacks and juices for the kids and they got even more treats!
You may have noticed, but Bentley miraculously kept his hat on the entire day and night of Halloween!
We had so much fun at Marmee's work and were so glad she invited us! After we were done there we went back home for our neighborhood block party and trick or treating. Katie met us at the party. She was dressed as Sven!
The neigborhood kids! (Actually just 2 streets of the neighborhood.)
Once it was dark, we set out for trick or treating. Bentley was already exhausted so he went home with Grammy and I took the girls out. Needless to say, it was a bit chaotic, so I didn't get any pictures of the girls trick or treating. After we were done, we put Kiley right to bed and let Presley stay up a little longer. She was trying out some of her "treats".
The day or two after Halloween, Bentley got a hold of Mikey's wig. I didn't get a good picture, but he looked so cute!
All in all, we had a terrific and successful Black and Frozen Halloween!
