Icemagedon

In December, we had an ice storm that was named Icemagedon. It started sleeting on Thursday afternoon and just got worse from there. School was closed on Friday and Monday. The temperatures stayed below freezing for almost a week, so the ice stuck around for even longer. A view from the front yard.

It looks like snow but it was at least 3 inches of pure ice!

Mikey's car was iced in!

He couldn't even get to the door handle.

Of course Mikey had to get the jeep out.

This was a picture of one of our main roads on Sunday. The roads were so bad all over the place!

The ice finally melted over a week later. It looked so pretty but it was impossible to walk on, so we were stuck inside. It was so nice to finally get out and be able to drive on dry roads again!
