Presley's 2nd Birthday!

Presley had a great 2nd birthday! It is so much fun now that she is old enough to somewhat understand what is going on. She learned the birthday song and loved singing it (loudly). It is so funny how we go all out on the first birthday when they don't even realize what is going on. I have made a mental note of this and may consider doing a big 2nd Birthday party for Bentley instead of a 1st!

Just like her first birthday, she made her annual television appearance on the morning news. She was soooo excited to see herself on TV!

On Friday, I got her a Happy Meal from McDonald's for a pre-birthday celebration. She ate the whole thing and drank all of her milk!

On Saturday morning, we went to the Donut Shop and got her a birthday donut. Apparently we think because it is her birthday, she can eat a bunch of junk...ooops.

While Presley was eating her birthday breakfast, Daddie put together her big birthday present. Auntie K and Aunt Mycah pitched in for her gift. She was sooo excited, and so was Kiley!

It wasn't a very pretty day, but that didn't stop us from playing outside. We just wore raincoats!

Mommy had fun with some decorations!

If we asked Presley who's birthday it was, she would say "Presley Happy Birthday", hence the banner.

We started celebrating as soon as the girls got up from their naps!

We had all of Presley's favorite foods to eat. For appetizers, we had chips and dip, grapes, and pistachios.

Presley opened presents throughout the day.

For dinner, we had corny dogs, chicken nuggets, french fries and acorn squash. These were all of Presley's favorite "dippin sauces".

Her little cake. She loved when we sang happy birthday to her and she blew out the candle all by herself!

Presley also had her first haircut on her birthday!

Aunt Mycah did a great job and so did Presley!

On Monday, Presley had her 2 year checkup! She weighed 25.38 lbs (50%) and she is 34 inches long (49%). She did so well at her checkup. She talked her doctor's ear off, sang to her and she showed her everything the doctor wanted to see. She got her flu shot nasal spray and we have to go back for her vaccine because we were 4 days early for it. She is right on track with everything. She is putting more than 2 words together, running, jumping, throwing, counting to 3, scribbling and knows her body parts. We are starting to work on colors and letters! Mommy was so proud!

On Tuesday, Presley got to take treats to school to celebrate her birthday with her class. She wore her new shirt with the big 2 on it and her birthday crown!

We made jello treats for her class. We called it a tropical blend with 3 different flavors: red, yellow and blue!

Oh yes, it was Mommy's birthday too! We don't have many pictures (probably because Mommy takes all the pictures). Mikey took me to lunch the day before my birthday. Also, before our trip, he got me a new hat and some sunglasses that I wanted. He also took me for some pampering where I got my hair done and a mani and pedi. He also got me some beautiful flowers and brought home a cake!

Mom took Presley and I to lunch on my actual birthday and then Daddie took us out on the boat after work!
We celebrated my birthday with the family on Sunday. Mom made chicken and beef tacos and we watched football! I got some livingroom decor, work out clothes, maternity clothes, gift cards and a new purse!

I had a very special 32nd birthday as Presley did for her 2nd birthday. We are very lucky to have such a loving family to make us feel so special!
