Kiley's 3rd Birthday!

Kiley turned 3 years old on the 10th. We had a very exciting week. Our excitement began on Friday, the 4th when Kiley decided she was ready to walk. Yes, Kiley is walking!!!! We are so excited and proud of her! We never knew when she would walk, but I always prayed that she would walk by her 3rd birthday, and she did it with 6 days to spare! She didn't just take a couple of steps, she was walking all over the house! The 4th is also a significant day because that was her actual due date 3 years ago! Last year, she had a seizure and we were in the hospital on the 4th and this year she is healthy and walking all over the house. Such a blessing!

On Kiley's actual birthday, we went to therapy that morning. Kiley wore her birthday crown and all of the kids and therapists sang her happy birthday! Daddie came home a little early from work and we took the girls to play at the park. We had a fun family dinner!

The next day, I took Kiley to her 3 year checkup. She was such a good girl. She read the books while we waited for Dr. Nale.

Dr. Nale was very happy to see that she was walking! She did have to get a vaccination, but she only cried for a minute. Her and sister both got suckers!

On Saturday night, Presley and I baked a birthday cake for Kiley while she and Daddie went to her friend, Felicity's, new house. Presley got to lick the cake batter and she thought she was hot stuff.

On Sunday, Marmee, Guy, Grammy, Grampy, Auntie K, Trey, Aunt M and Josh all came over to celebrate Kiley's birthday! Aunt M and Josh with the girls!

We made all of Kiley's favorites for her birthday dinner. Daddie smoked 2 chickens. Mommy made a salad and homemade macaroni and cheese, Marmee made squash casserole and creamed spinach and Grammy made yummy appetizers. All of the food was delicious!!

Kiley needed help with Marmee's big bows! Marmee got Kiley some super cute new clothes that she desperately needed! I think Kiley may have liked the Mickey and Minnie mouse boxes better!

Kiley Lynne Baird, we love you so much! We can't believe you are already 3 years old. You are turning into a beautiful little girl. No more baby fat or chubby cheeks. You are tall and slim now. We are so proud of all of the progress you have made over the last year. You are such a strong, tough little girl and we know there will never be a challenge too tough for you! We are so lucky to have you in our life. We can't believe we have a walking 3 year old!!
