Now on to Pres...Presley is already 10 months old. I cannot believe it. Time is just flying by! She is developing her gross motor skills so quickly. Since her 9 month update, her biggest milestone is cruising. She loves pushing her push toys all over the house. Even ones without wheels. She can even push Sister around on her car. She is a strong little girl. Also, in the last week or so, she is starting to balance and stand on her own. Unfortunately this has made her more clumsy. She seems to be falling a lot more. Last week, she busted her mouth open on the fireplace. I felt so bad for her. Within 5 minutes she was cleaned up and playing and talking. She is a tough little cookie!
She now has 5 teeth. She has 3 on the top and 2 on the bottom. She is eating anything and everything for breakfast lunch and dinner and for the most part is still nursing 4 times per day. I say "for the most part" because we are starting to think about weening her. My goal is to have her weened by her first birthday, so we have started being a little more lenient with her two middle feedings and replacing them with snacks to prepare her (and me). She has done quite well. I am going to start dropping a feeding each week in mid August. Please keep us in your prayers. I think it will be a big adjustment for both of us!
Also in the last month, she has started to get a lot more verbal. She isn't saying any words, and she doesn't repeat sounds like most babies (dadadada, bababab, etc.), she says one sylable words or sounds (dah, is one of her favorites), but she says them very loud and very commanding. She really means whatever she is saying!
As I say in every post, she still has such a big smile at all times, except now you can see her pretty teeth in her smile. She still loves to dance, almost as much as she loves to eat! She is doing a lot more climbing. She can climb up the step to the bathtub and she climbs up on her bean bag all by herself. I am pretty sure she could go up a flight of stairs if we let her! She is into EVERYTHING! It is so funny to watch her discover things that Kiley never did. I thought we had babyproofed our house, but we now need to PresleyProof it. She loves opening all of the cupboards and exploring. It is so funny because the cupboards are taller than her when she is standing up, so she just sticks her head right in them. She discovered toilet paper the other day. Luckily there wasn't much on the role, but she unrolled the rest of it!
She loves to swim. She lays back in her float and relaxes, and when we take her out, she loves to kick and splash in the water. She is such a busy body. She NEVER sits still. She is always on the go, so she keeps us very busy!
Daddie came up with a new nickname for Presley. She is our little Koala Bear. We love when she wraps her arms and legs around us. It is the sweetest thing!
Presley Marie, we love you so much and can't wait to watch you grow and develop over the next month!
