It snowed all day and was so pretty.
One day, it started snowing while Mikey was at work. He checked the traffic before he left work and it was all red!!
This was the view from his office window!
Luckily he took the jeep to work that day. He took back roads home and was able to stop and pickup Kiley from school so that she didn't have to ride home on the bus.
He always has to take a picture of his first baby.
The driveway.
The house.
We took the kids sledding a few times. Kiley went the first time and didn't love the cold, so the other times, I stayed home with her.
This was the place to be to go sledding!!
Mikey took a few pictures of the house at night. He got some snowflakes in a couple of the pictures.
The kids used Mikey's snowboard for their sled.
On the second snow day, the roads were actually worse because some of the snow and ice had melted the day before and refroze over night. Mikey tried to get the truck out and he slid all the way down the driveway and almost hit the mailbox! He and Pres had to dig in the ice to give the truck some traction.
We had two snow days on a Monday and Tuesday, so we were stuck in the house for 4 days. I was going stir crazy not being able to work out, so I looked up some treadmill workouts and one of my trainers gave me one to do on the stairs.
This was a picture of the house the same day Mikey had to leave work early.
It snowed all day again!
This one was on a Friday, so it was another long weekend stuck inside.
I have always said that I love to cook, but I am not a good baker. I am not sure what got into me that weekend, but I made homemade biscuits for breakfast one morning.
Ice cold Dr Pepper.
You can see how tall the snow was.
Later that day, I made chocolate chip cookies from scratch. I'm not sure who was worse about eating the dough. Mikey or the kids??
We survived the first two big snows of the Winter. There was actually one more that I will blog about in a later post and it was the biggest of all!
