I cannot put into words how pleased we were with this process. By the time the ARD meeting came around, they knew Kiley so well and had already fallen in love with her. They are all so caring and want what is best for her. Now I know what they mean by "special" education.
So, after all of that, Kiley finally started school last month! She is now in her 4th week! Auntie K came to stay with Presley so that Mikey and I could both take her. Kiley is waiting for breakfast. I let her bring her lovey down with her. She was a little unsure of what was going on.

The first day of school is such a big milestone. We were trying to figure out where the official first day of school picture will be each year. We tried the staircase.

And the front door. Her backpack is as big as her!

Pulling up to the school! What is great about our school district is that there is a separate school for 3 and 4 year olds, so Kiley isn't going to school with K thru 5th graders.

Kiley in her classroom with Ms. Connie (the teacher's aide). There are 6 kids in her class. 3 girls and 3 boys!

Kiley sitting in the circle like a big girl. Mommy and Daddie are so proud! She did such a great job and was so brave.

She has been doing so well these last few weeks. She loves going to school and is understanding more and more every day! We are so blessed to have this opportunity for Kiley. We would especially like to thank Daddie for making the big sacrifice of extending his commute to and from work. We love you Daddie and more to come on Kiley's progress!
