Our NY Trip!

We went to Upstate New York for a week to visit our family. The weather was absolutely gorgeous (80's during the day and 50's at night). It was such a nice break from the hot weather here and Kiley enjoyed meeting all of her family. The night before we left, Mom called and said that Nonie came down with pnuemonia. She was in bed all week and we didn't get to go stay with her at the lake. We were so bummed, but we knew that she needed her rest. We love you so much Nonie and we hope you feel better very soon!

We left on Wednesday. It was Kiley's first time on and airplane and she did great. Here is a picture of Kiley and I at the Detroit airport where we were switching terminals. This tunnel was so cool. It changed colors.

Kiley was such a trooper in her stroller in the airports. She just chilled the whole way from Dallas to Detroit to New York.

We arrived in New York around 230pm and went to Uncle Paul and Aunt Karen's house to "move in" for the week. All of the family came over to see us and we had a great dinner. We stay with them every year and we always have a blast. There is always at least 10 of us there at one time. Never a dull moment. I was telling everyone that Kiley is in a stage where she just wants to lay down by herself to fall asleep, but not when Uncle Paul is around.

Kiley is all dressed up and ready to go to the Rehearsal Dinner.

Another picture of her standing up.

Everyone watching the fireworks over the lake after dinner.

A close up of Kiley watching fireworks for the first time. She loved them.

Kiley taking a bath in the kitchen sink before the wedding.

A great picture of Daddie and Kiley before the wedding.

A family picture. (I'm not sure what that face is that Kiley is making.)

A picture with the handsome groom, my cousin Josh.

Josh at the Altar. My Aunt Karen was his best man and his son Kaleb was the ring bear.
Mikey had to distract Kaleb halfway through the ceremony with some bubbles. This picture was right before Kaleb got up and threw the pillow in the middle of the ceremony. It is always comical to have kids in a wedding.

Kiley ready to party at the reception.

Kiley dancing with Daddie.

A picture with the Bride & Groom.

On Sunday we went back over to Aunt Kathy and Uncle John's on Seneca Lake. We spent the day by the lake and then ate leftovers from the rehearsal dinner. Seneca Lake is always very cold. Mikey was a trooper and dove in. Here he thinks he is the king of the lake.

On Monday, my cousin's Haley, Molly and Emily watched Kiley while Mom, Aunt Lisa, Mikey and I went wine tasting.

Here is a picture of one of the grape vines. The Finger Lakes has really good white wines.
The girls.

A great picture on Mom and Me.

Kiley got plenty of attention from the boys.

Kiley loves when Daddie plays the guitar for her.

On Tuesday, we went cliff diving at the falls. When we first got there, we just stood on the top and looked down at the falls.

A great picture of the falls.

There goes Mikey.......

Our last night, we all went out to dinner. It is fun when we decide to go out to dinner for the night and we call a restaurant to make a reservation for "Mehlenbacher, party of 22".

Aunt Karen was keeping Kiley warm.

On Wednesday morning before we left, we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's to say goodbye. Kiley was very interested in what Grandma was doing.

Kiley with her Great Grandparents.

On the way home, we had a 3 hour layover in Detroit. We got to know the airport very well and Kiley loved this cool fountain.

She was memorized.

We had a great trip and of course it went way too fast. We love you all and we can't wait to see you again very soon!
